OGRA recommends Re 1 per litre cut in petrol price

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday sent a summary to the government, recommending Rs 1 per litre reduction in the petrol price.

The OGRA proposed to increase the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 1.42 per litre and high-octane by Re 0.27. It also proposed to reduce the price of light diesel by Re 0.36 per litre and kerosene oil by Re 0.75 per litre.

  1. The Petrol price has been reduced only by FIVE PAISAS ! Could there be a bigger shame for the Democratically Elected Government ? The Oil producing countries are mourning the reduction. The Venezualian Oil Minister has even predicted that price may come down as low as US$ 20 a barrel !
