The All Pakistan Shemale Association on Thursday filed a bail plea in a local magistrate’s court in the case of obscene dance performances in a Muzaffargarh fair.

The bail petition was submitted in Muzaffargarh Sadar Police Station for nine people including four transgender people and a woman.

On the other hand, civil judge dismissed the non-bailable section of amplifier act from the FIR.

The Shemale Association protested outside the district court against District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh Awais Malik over the detention of their innocent brethren.

The protesters demanded that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif should take notice of the arrests and provide them justice.

Eight persons were held a day before by the police for indecent dance performances in a local fair organised by Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) former member of provincial assembly (MPA) Mahr Irshad Siyal.

The DPO said that eight participants had been apprehended after obscene performances were reported on November 24.
