Three terrorists of Lyari gang were killed in exchange of fire with police on Monday; weapons were also recovered from their possession.
Protest was held over arrest of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader during a crackdown.
According to details, police conducted door to door search operation against the miscreants in Baghdadi locality of the metropolis city of Karachi during which criminals started firing at the raiding team resulting in fire exchange.
In cross firing three terrorists of Lyari gang war identified as Jabbar, Dadda, Abdul Rehman and Rizwan ailas Rado belonging to Uzair Baloch Group were killed. Heavy automated weapons were recovered from the possession of the deceased. The bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, police arrested ASWJ Secretary General Karachi, Allama Taj Muhammad Hanfi during raid at his house in Lyari. Spokesman of ASWJ has strongly condemned the arrest of party leader and stressed for his release.
In a separate incident in Khayaban Mujahid, a policeman identified as Zahid Ali who had been deployed on security detail of foreigners went missing while returning home after performing the duty.
