A judicial magistrate on Monday handed over Amir, the man who allegedly murdered his 11-month girl, to police on physical remand for three days.
The 11-month baby girl Mahnoor was beaten to death allegedly by her real father. The suspect Amir started beating his wife and daughter when he did not find soap in the bathroom.
The police produced the suspect before the judicial magistrate West and requested the court to grant his physical remand as he is required for investigation.
The accused while retracting his earlier confession, said that he did not kill his baby girl, but had found Mahnoor dead when he returned home. The judge while accepting the police’s request handed Amir to them on three-day physical remand.
The case, FIR 620/15, was registered at Surjani Police station under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
