Train service from Quetta to other areas of the country was suspended on Sunday due to train drivers’ strike.
The drivers said that the engines of the trains were substandard due to which they will not run it anymore.
According to details, Jaffar Express en route to Rawalpindi, Bugti Express travelling to Lahore, Bolan Express heading to Karachi and a Chaman bound train failed to carry on their operations as a result of the drivers’ strike.
Passengers were stranded for hours due to the strike and many were unable to reach their destinations.
However, after negotiations with DS Railway Faiz Bugti, the drivers allowed the departure of Jaffar Express.
