Amir Khan case: Non-bailable arrest warrants for five absconders issued

The anti-terrorism court on Monday issued non-bailable warrants for five co-accused of MQM leader Amir Khan in a case pertaining to instigating terrorism and harbouring terrorists.

 

The five accused are: Imran Ejaz, Raees alias Mama, Minhaj Qazi, Naeem Mullah and Shehzad Mullah. All of them are still absconding. The hearing was adjourned till December 15.

 

The ATC on October 31 had extended bail to MQM leader till Nov 23 against a surety bond of Rs1 million. Khan had undergone a 90-day detention period following his arrest in the March 11 raid at Nine Zero.

 

Amir Khan was also directed by the court to not leave the country without the court’s permission and also appear before it at every hearing.

 

The MQM leader was also sent to the central prison on a judicial remand after issuance of his arrest warrants.

  1. He was seen on TV yesterday in a MQM meeting. Those five include one Rais Mamma, a Korangi sector MQM super-terrorist and close relative of one in London Rabita Committee. A mini King-Kong is in the making in Hydrabad and the bigger one expected in Karachi. Back to square ONE.
