An 11-month-old baby girl was tortured to death by her father in the Surjani Town area.
Hours after in police custody, the father confessed that he had killed his daughter in a rage.
Amir told the entire incident to the police. He said he entered the washroom only to find that there was no soap. He came out and yelled at his wife. In panic, his wife named the daughter who ‘mistakenly’ removed the soap from the toilet. The man lost his calm and started beating the daughter. The child was so minor that she could not sustain the brutal torture and died after few minutes.
Several relatives of the accused gathered in the area, claiming that he had not murdered his daughter. The protesters accused the minor’s mother of committing the crime.
According to police, mother of the child phoned the police station and informed that her daughter had been killed after brutal torture by her husband, Amir. Police reached the crime scene and arrested Amir on complaint of his wife. Police said the case would be registered after post-mortem report. Earlier, the cops had recorded another version of neighbourhood people who claimed that Amir was not home at the time of incident. Amir told the police that his wife was mentally unstable and they frequently had arguments over domestic issues.
