‘See no evil, hear no evil, broadcast no evil’

Media directed not to publish, telecast news items of 37 banned outfits

The Ministry of Interior has directed the national media through PEMRA not to publish or telecast news items regarding the 37 banned outfits.

The Ministry of Interior on Thursday dispatched a list of these banned outfits to the print and electronic media and directed them not to telecast news items about them and to ignore their threats and claims.

The list included Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipa-e-Muhammad, Jasha-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, Sipa-e-Sahiba Pakistan (SSP), Tehreek-e-Jafria Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Muhammadi, Tehreek-e-Islami, Al-Qada, Millat-e-Islamia Pakistan, Khudim-ul-Islam, Islami Tehreek Pakistan, Jamiat-ul-Ansar, Jamiat-ul-Furqan, Khair-u-Nisa International Trust, Blaochistan Liberation Army, Islamic Students Movement of Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Islam, Ansar-ul-Islam, Haji Namdir Group, Tehreek Taliban Pakistan, Balochistan Republican Army, Balochistan Liberation Front, Balochistan Liberation United Front, Balochistan Armed Defense Organization, Shia Tulba Action Committee Gilgit. Tanzeem Naujawan-e-Alha-Sunnat, People Aman Committee Liari, Alha-Sunnat Wal Jamiat, Amin Foundation, Rabita Trust, Anjuman Imamia Gilgit Baltistan, Muslim Students Organisation Gilgit Baltistan and Tanzeem Alha-e-Sunnat Wal Jamiat Gilgit.
