Worms weighing three kilograms were extracted from the stomach of a twelve year old boy at a private hospital in Timergara on Friday.
According to details, the boy, Tanweer hailing from Tar Pa Tar in Upper Dir was brought to a private hospital after severe abdominal pain.
Urologist surgeon Dr. Abdul Wahab operated on the boy and extracted the three kilogram worms from his stomach. The patient is out of danger now; the doctor added that such worms were often caused by drinking contaminated water.
