Many villagers held a protest demonstration in front of local Sui gas office against load shedding of gas on Thursday.
Later the protestor reached the Benazir Bhutto Press Club and chanted slogans against gas load shedding in their villages and Naundero. They also staged sit-in in front of the press club.
These villagers belonged to Rahooja, Phulpota, Bhoonbhatpur, Izzat Ji Wandh, Naundero and others. They complained that they had been regularly clearing their monthly bills but Sui gas pressure in their respective areas always remained very low during cooking timings.
Jamil Abro, Riaz Mangi, Suhrab Lashari, Mushtaque Rahoojo, Sikander Abbasi, Nadim Abro, Sajid Abro, Najaf Rahoojo and other protestors told media that their womenfolk are forced to cook meal over dung, bushes and burning wood despite the fact that they are sent exorbitant monthly gas bills.
They alleged that this was being done to provide full gas pressure to the owners of few furnaces business which was unjust and tantamount to depriving the citizens of their basic right. They demanded that Sui gas should be supplied to them at proper pressure or else they will be forced to surround the gas office on Monday.
