Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that people and the government of Pakistan fully shared the grief and pain with the French nation on the recent horrific terror act in Paris.
“Terrorists have no religion and values as they are enemies of mankind,” he remarked while visiting the French embassy on Wednesday to convey his condolences for the victims of Friday’s terrorist attack in which 129 people were killed.
In a meeting with French ambassador Martine Dorance, the minister expressed sympathies with the people of France on the tragic incident.
Prevaiz Rashid reiterated that people and the government of Pakistan strongly condemned the ghastly act of terrorism and stood with the French nation at this hour of trial and grief. “We condemn terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and feel the anguish and sorrow of the French people as being victims ourselves.”
He said that Pakistan is on the forefront in its cooperation with the international community to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and extremism.
The French envoy appreciated the role played by Islamabad as a frontline state against global terrorism and acknowledged the ultimate sacrifices of its people and security forces.
Rashid also jotted down his comments and sentiments in the condolence book placed at the French mission.
