A local leader of the Sindh United Party (SUP), Anwar Leghari, was killed and two including a candidate of local bodies (LB) election and a party worker were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire at an election campaign camp on Wednesday-Thursday night.
Police said that unknown miscreants sprayed bullets at a camp installed in Al-Mustafabad Town of Hyderabad in connection with the election campaign for the LB polls.
SUP local leader Anwar Leghari died on the spot in the firing while two including LB candidate for general councilor Sami Chandio and a worker Sunny were injured.
The assailants managed to escape from the scene after the incident. The body and injured were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
