SC disposes of Waheeda Shah’s case

The Supreme Court (SC) has disposed of the case of slapping a presiding officer by Waheeda Shah, former member of Sindh Assembly, on completion of sentence of two years disqualification period.

The election commission (EC) had disqualified Waheeda Shah from contesting election for two years for slapping the presiding officer. A 3-member bench of the SC presided over by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took up Waheeda Shah’s case for hearing on Tuesday.

The counsel for Waheeda Shah appeared in the court and told that his client had completed two years disqualification period sentence.
