National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s demand for re-election in NA-122 is beyond comprehension.
Talking to the media during his visit to Mian Mir Hospital in Lahore, the speaker said that he does not understand why PTI is continuously asking for re-elections in NA-122. He prayed that may Allah stop PTI Chief Imran Khan from leveling allegations against PML-N.
Sadiq said that a committee of parliamentarians has been established to monitor China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He added that the Opposition is constantly denouncing CPEC which can affect its implementation.
He further invited all the political parties to show consent over the project.
Talking about menace of terrorism, he said it is not an issue of one region but has prevailed all across the globe which needs to get addressed early at both national and international levels. He said all the departments are working honestly and sincerely in their own fields.
Meanwhile, PTI Spokesman Naeem-ul-Haq hoped that Ayaz Sadiq will perform duties according to his position. He accused the PML-N leader of closing the microphones of the Opposition leaders so that they cannot express their views.
He further said that the speaker has always shown loyalty with PML-N and neglected the stance of the Opposition MNAs.
