Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday chaired an important session in Islamabad to review matters pertaining to the Interior Ministry.
The meeting discussed the registration issue of the international non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The minister had earlier said that the NGOs would not be allowed to collect funds without government’s approval and their registration would only be done through online system.
Nisar said that the policy was not aimed at banning anyone. He said that the government would facilitate those working for the betterment of Pakistan.
The participants debated the inclusion and exclusion of Pakistanis’ names from the Exit Control List (ECL). Deployment of staff in foreign countries for machine-readable passports was also discussed.
Officials of interior ministry briefed the members on the performances of their respective departments and status of ongoing projects.
