Islamabad police have arrested six outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered wine, weapons and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Kohsar police arrested Afzal and Noor for their alleged involvement in snatching cash from people at gun point. Bhara Kahu police recovered one pistol from Amjad while 30 litre wine and 24 empty bottles of wine were also recovered during patrolling.
Bani Gala Police apprehended two accused Rizwan, Azmat and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with 14 bullets from their possession. Golra police arrested Bani Amin for having five wine bottles.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile four professional alm-seekers were also arrested and action has been initiated against them. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and curb activities of anti-social elements.
