Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has formed intelligence wing consisting of 15 to 20 members, to monitor and keep a check on the activities of political leaders of its party.
According to reliable sources, the intelligence cell has been headed by an important political personality of the party who is answerable to Imran khan only.
The members of cell have been closely working with the party members for gathering important information and submit the report to Chairman PTI, who makes the final decision. The decision to remove Fayaz-ul-Hasan Chohan had also been taken in light of recommendation given by the intelligence wing.
The wing has submitted the reports regarding the local bodies’ election across Punjab including the constituency of Fayaz ul Hasan. The wing had submitted information regarding the lobbying of relatives, and the member working against the party’s candidate and in favour of opposite candidate during the union council elections. The wing had also given report regarding the people working for allotting tickets to their friends.
A full scale report is submitted to chairman, so that people joining the party on an agenda could be blocked. The wing also collects information about candidate’s involvement in drug dealings, criminal cases and other unwanted activities.
