Prime accused in kachi abadi case sent to jail on judicial remand

The district court has sent the prime accused in illegal Khachchi Abadi case, Shahid Khan, to jail on a judicial remand following completion of his five-day physical remand.

When the Kachchi Abadi case came up for hearing before the court on Saturday, the FIA presented accused before the court praying that his physical remand and preliminary investigation has been completed. And no more physical remand of the accused was needed for further investigation and he may be on judicial remand.

According to the FIA, the accused, behind popping up of Kachchi Abadis after taking heavy bribe from people, is the son of CDA Union President Aurangzeb Khan

During the investigation, the accused disclosed that about Rs25 million was lying in his bank account and his brother was running eight fire wood depots set up illegally on the CDA land.
