Peshawar – Our Sarkari Correspondent: Political economists at the Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad predict that the chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak, is finally going to complete one full work-day in office by around the time his government completes its term.

Khattak, known for his tremendous work ethic, has made tremendous strides in his work routine, by putting in a solid 17 minutes of work in a single day by as early as his first month in office.

“He plateaued for a bit by his second year in office, where he stayed on a 37-minute mark for a bit,” said Prof Sajjad Haider, lead researcher of the study. “But he’s been picking up pace quite well now.”

“Other aspects of his work-ethic are also increasing tremendously,” said Prof Faris Shuja, second lead researcher. “Though the smoke in his office made it difficult to note our observations on our clipboards, we noted that his memory retention had increased considerably.”

“No longer was he asking the same question through the course of several minutes,” Shuja continued. “He has even reduced watching Animal Planet down to a manageable couple of hours a day.”

Economists also believe that by the fiscal year 2017-18, only 48 percent of the annual provincial development budget will lapse.
