PML-Q central leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has alleged that during the recent local bodies (LB) elections, DPOs and DCOs acting in accordance with the directives of the ruling party put their all efforts to ensure success of its candidates across the province.
He was addressing meeting of newly-elected independent local bodies representatives from Talagang and Chakwal who announced joining the PML at his residence on Saturday. They included Chairman Malik Riaz, Vice-Chairman Malik Ameer Sultan, Chairman Syed Mahmud Shah, Chairman Malik Asghar Khan, Vice-Chairman Malik Ashraf, Vice-Chairman Malik Mumtaz, Chairman Malik Asad Qadri and Chairman Malik Zamurd Khan.
Congratulating the newly elected LB representatives, he said the PML-Q will play an important role in second and third phases of the LB polls and by securing major success will emerge as leading party of province.
Pervaiz said that as chief minister in his term he had undertaken development work throughout Punjab without any discrimination and independent candidates joining our party in large number prove that the people remember their benefactors even today.
He said that even the Chinese companies have withdrawn from Nandipur Power Project and alleged now the rulers plan to borrow loan from banks for swallowing public money. He said, “We had constructed small dams in Pothohar area but sitting Punjab CM do not have enough sense that electricity will come by construction of dam and not by merely making announcements.” He said farmers sentiments are being hurt in the name of Kissan Package as they will get nothing from this package.
