CDA decides to extend its municipal limit

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided extend its municipal limits by bring more zones under its jurisdiction.

Sources said that the CDA Board has decided to bring Zone-4 and Zone-5 under its administrative control. To develop more sectors to accommodate the growing number population in these two zones.

In its summary tabled at the CDA board meeting, the planning directorate said that housing societies have popped up at rapid pace in these two zones and commercial activities have also risen in these two zones. Therefore, building codes should be enacted and enforced for high rise buildings, plazas, marriage halls and markets in these zones.

The board approved to extend the limits of the civic agency and directed the department concerned to send the matter to the federal cabinet besides soliciting opinion from the Islamabad district management.
