Cases ordered for corruption of millions in TMA Rawalpindi

 

 

Tehsil Municipal Administration Rawalpindi has completed inquiry into corruption of millions of rupees and ordered the institution of cases against five including three officers.

According to details, the officials were involved in allowing construction of buildings by violating the approved construction maps and building codes.

Anti corruption sources said that a citizen Malik Zafar Iqbal had filed a complaint against the illegal construction of buildings without approval of maps to the anti corruption department Rawalpindi causing losses of millions of rupees to the national exchequer.  He named then Tehsil municipal officer, town officer planning, deputy town officer and building Clerk for their connivance with the builders.

Similar violations have been reported in Murree, according to the sources.

The reports said that deputy director anti corruption Rawalpindi has ordered institution of cases against all those found involved in the scandal.
