In order to discourage and remove illegal water connection in the city, a special campaign by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been launched in the city.
Under this campaign, teams comprising the staff of water supply and other departments of the authority have disconnected more than 100 illegal water connections from the main water supply line and several people have been challenged in this context.
During a meeting Chairman CDA was informed that sufficient quantity of water is available in CDA’s water reservoirs, however, complaint of water shortage was reported in few segments of the city which were due to electricity fault and efforts were made to rectify the fault at the earliest and now, supply in these areas has been normalized.
He was apprised that there are 250 to 300 water complaints which are being met on daily basis and tanker service is well equipped to redress the 100 percent complaints on daily basis.
