Meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif (PM) and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is underway at PM House in Islamabad today.
Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif warmly greeted the Tajik President.
Emomali Rahmon was also given a guard of honor on the occasion.
He is visiting on a two-day official visit on the invitation Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Ministers, leading businessmen and other senior officials.
During his stay, the Tajik President will also meet President Mamnoon Hussain and other top level dignitaries.
The visit is part of regular high-level exchanges between the two brotherly countries and help to enhance cooperation in political, economic, energy, infrastructure and defence sectors.
Two sides will also discuss region project CASA-1000.
