Rumors about dismissal untrue: Ayesha Mumtaz

Ayesha Mumtaz denied all rumors regarding her alleged removal from her post and reaffirmed the credibility of the Punjab Food Authority.

Allegations that the Director of PFA had been sacked had gone viral after she visited “Anhar Milk Factory”, owned by Hamza Shahbaz. According to th rumors, Hamza stopped her after which she was called to the Chief Minister’s office and relieved of her duties.

Regarding the rumors, she said that “I have heard many rumours about the status of Punjab Food Authority being undermined by political influence and other elements. I am declaring that these rumours baseless and would like to reaffirm that Punjab Food Authority is working independently without any influence or intervention from any politician.”

“In addition there have been heavy criticism on the absence of posting the photos of raided restaurants. This has been done on the orders of high court and we respect the law in full capacity. Punjab Food Authority is working in its independent capacity to ensure quality food and public health” she said.
