Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Wednesday said, in this age of knowledge based economy, the socio-economic and humanitarian development were possible through sharing information.
The minister was delivering a welcome speech on the inauguration of Belarusian Information and Culture centre. Belarus Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov inaugurated the centre at National Library.
The minister said the establishment of this centre initiated the process of implementation of the roadmap of Belarusian-Pakistani Humanitarian Cooperation Agreement signed between the two countries that demonstrated the seriousness of both the countries in expanding and strengthening their relations.
He said Pakistan values its relations with Belarus and both countries enjoy a warm and cordial relationship.
He reiterated that the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was keen to further expand and enhance the relations between the two countries for the benefit of the people.
