Angry people Thursday staged a protest demonstration in Multan against prolonged gas load-shedding due to under-construction Metro Bus Project in the City.
The protesters blocked main Hafiz Jamal Road, burnt tyres and chanted slogans against the government for three hours.
They said that Manzoorabad has been facing gas outages for the past four months due to Metro Bus Project while the residents of Qadirabad and Jaleelabad have been also forced to live without gas. They added that no action has been taken by the government for the restoration of gas so far.
The protesters demanded early solution to the problem and threatened that they would besiege the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) office.
