MoU for setting up Rs 36 billion theme park in city inked

An agreement was signed Thursday between the Punjab government and Chinese company Golden Bean Group for construction of a state-of-the-art Theme Park and Aquarium in Lahore with a total cost of Rs 36 billion where recreational facilities on the model of Disneyland will be provided to the citizens.

The Chinese company will complete this world class Theme Park in one and a half years. Company Chairman Jin Ming Nan and Commissioner Lahore Abdullah Sumbal along with PHA DG Mian Muhammad Shakeel inked the agreement.
Provincial Minister for Industries Ch Muhammad Shafiq was also present on this occasion.

Moreover, Golden Bean Group will also participated in the bidding along with national and international companies for construction of Sundar Workers Welfare Complex Phase-I, a project of the Punjab Labour Department with a total cost of Rs7.78 billion where 2900 apartments would be built for industrial workers and labourers.

This complex will also have the facilities of two separate schools for boys and girls, community center, mosque and other amenities of life.
Labour Department Secretary Ali Sarfraz and Chairman Jin Ming Nan signed the MoU in this regard.

Provincial Ministers Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq lauded the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for motivating foreign investors to invest in different development and industrial sectors as more than 150 MoUs and agreements have been signed between the Punjab government and foreign investors in the last international business seminar held in Lahore because the Punjab government is providing huge incentives and best environment for investment to foreign investors along with foolproof security.
