Bilawal lashes out at PM in Tharparkar rally

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had made empty promises to the people of Thar, and never returned or followed up on the promises.

Bilawal slammed the prime minister and the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, and said that PPP’s rivals would not get the votes of the people of Sindh.

Lamenting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies, Bilawal said that the Modi government discriminates between Eid and Diwali, adding that Modi’s silence over minorities’ oppression is a slap on the face of India’s proclaimed secularism.

After Bilawal’s speech, party workers fell over each other trying to eat food and the Diwali cake.

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto celebrated ‘Diwali’ with the Hindu community. He also cut a cake and got a ‘Tilak’ on his forehead. “People’s Party sees Diwali as its own festival,” Bilawal said. He said that the worshippers of dictatorship are against unity among people and that extremism is being spread through a conscious effort.
