Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz has denied rumors of her removal, saying: “I am currently in Brussels to attend an international conference on food safety.”
In a video message here the other day, she expressed sorrow over the rumours being circulated on social media after her departure from the country to attend the conference.
“Some elements are waging propaganda that I have been stopped from performing duties following a raid on a company,” she said, terming such claims as false and far from reality.
Ayesha Mumtaz said that people would soon witness her performing her duties with same zeal upon her return to the country.
Earlier, social media reports suggested that Ms Mumtaz was suspended and transferred to Islamabad, following a raid on a factory owned by Hamza Shehbaz.
