Police have prepared a preliminary report of Monday’s grenade attack on an imambargah in Karachi.
At least three people were injured when unknown miscreants riding a motorcycle hurled a grenade inside the imambargah in Hyderi area of Karachi on Monday evening.
According to the police, suspected miscreants tossed a grenade weighing 65-70 gram from a distance of 60 to 70 feet. Statements of witnesses are being recorded at the moment and police are also preparing sketches of the culprits.
The incident had occurred at Masjid-o-Imambargah Hussainian Sajjadia located at Allama Rasheed Turabi Road in North Nazimabad within the limits of Hyderi police station. The injured, identified as Zain, Aziz and Mazahir, were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Following the attack, locals staged a protest and demanded action against the culprits behind the incident.
