China-Pakistan air travel

It is really nice to know that PIA has started a third weekly service between Islamabad and Beijing. This reflects on the fact that business and tourism ties between Pakistan and China are growing and more and more people are travelling between both countries. Perhaps it would be more in the fitness of things if PIA offered a service that would simultaneously link China and Pakistan on the one hand and Pakistan and Europe on the other. In that manner, many people who travel between China and the west would be able to utilise the service. A similar route has recently been started by a Chinese airline.

It would also be in the fitness of things if PIA offered air links between Karachi, Lahore and various major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangzhou. With the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor coming fast on track, travel between the two countries is bound to further grow and this could be a great opportunity for PIA.
