A man allegedly doused petrol on a woman and set her on alight in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station on Sunday.
Shazia Akram a resident of Saddar lodged a complaint with the local police that Amir a resident of same locality abducted her sister at gunpoint from a local market for immoral activities. Over her refusal he doused her with petrol and set her on fire before fleeing the scene.
She was rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) where according to medics her condition is critical. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
