Three dacoits held for looting, abducting bank manager

Islamabad Sihala police has arrested three people who were involved in snatching valuables from a bank manager after abducting him, a police spokesman said.

According to details, Manager Allied Bank Shakeel Ahmed, Model Town Humak was abducted when he was going back to home They took him at a house in a car, tied him with ropes and took away keys of the bank, his ATM card, mobile phone and cash Rs. 42,000.

The abducted somehow managed to open ropes and informed the Rescue. He informed about his location in Bharia town (Phase-VII) and the surrounding areas of bank were cordoned off and checking was started.

A patrolling team of Sihala police including ASI Zulfiqar Ali, Head Constables Naveed, Arshad and security team of Bharia town managed to trace the car and make arrests. Later, they were identified as Suleman, Haider, Aamir Saleem and police recovered three pistols, ammunition, car as well as motorbike from them. One of the accused Haider was the mastermind of this crime and he also served in the bank as security guard. Further investigation is underway into the matter.

Meanwhile, Shamas Colony police nabbed three people, Ali, Abdul Rehman, Saba Batool alias Rani and recovered a total of 2.120 kilogram hashish from them.

SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and further directed to ensure effective policing measures in the city. He has also announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for Sihala police team.
