A security guard made off with millions of rupees from a bank in Lahore’s Gulberg area Monday evening.
According to a senior police official, the security guard in connivance with two others took the staff of Burj Bank hostage after its closing time and drove away in the manager’s car after robbing the bank of cash running in millions.
SHO Gulberg Muhammad Yousaf refused to disclose the name of the security guard and his service period with the bank, saying that they were still investigating. The bank staff is now estimating the looted money.
