Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif chaired meeting on security at the PM House on Monday.
Issues of National Security were discussed while different stages of the National Action Plan were reviewed and decisions taken to further accelerate the action where needed.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction over the marked improvement in the law and order situation in the country, particularly after the launching of the Zarb-e-Azb Operation. He said that terrorists have been defeated and vowed that the war against terrorism would go on until every last militant was eliminated from Pakistan’s sacred soil.
He particularly lauded the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan army and other law enforcement agencies and said that the nation salutes them for their sacrifices and achievements.
The meeting was attended by COAS General Raheel Sharif, Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, CGS Lt. General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, SAPM Tariq Fatemi and other senior civil and military officials.
