The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a protest demonstration against recent hike in prices of petroleum products on Saturday outside the National Press Club.
PTI leader Asad Umar led the protest for which the party had mobilized its workers and candidates of local government election. He said the protest is a well-planned move on part of the Imran Khan led party ahead of the second phase of the election.
Besides Umar other senior leaders of the party are also addressed the demonstrators. PTI has demanded the government to cut the petroleum prices as before.
The government had announced reviewed prices of the petroleum products, increasing petrol rates Rs2.50 per litre and high speed diesel by Rs1.75 per litre.-
