Private transporters exploiting commuters by not completing given routes

People of the twin cities heaved a sigh of relief after the introduction of Metro Buses, the public vehicles had also started to complete their routes and improved behaviour with the commuters but once again the passengers are facing difficulties.

According to details gathered, public vehicles are not completing their designated routes and prefer to play according to will of conductors.  The citizens say that wagons on routes one and six particularly avoid completing their route.

They say that the conductors only give seats to passengers who would drop off at Faizabad, telling the people that they would go to that station only. After that the vehicles of the two routes again load the passengers from Faizabad to different stops of Islamabad.

With this practice, the private vehicles earn double the amount while the passengers, mostly office going, have to pay double the fare.  It also causes trouble for the office goers and the students who cannot reach their destinations on time.

The President of the Twin cities transport union Malik Shabbir says it is the duty of the traffic wardens to ensure that the vehicles complete the route and assured his cooperation for this purpose.

However unfortunately, the number of the traffic warden is very limited and they least bother about the complaints of the travelling public. They only manage the road crossings and most of the time are absent from there as well except during the morning rush hours.
