Are you sick of chemicals wreaking havoc on your skin and hair? Ditch the expensive artificial products and turn to these natural ones that you can easily find in your kitchen.

  1. Greek yogurt for blemishes

Yogurt also loosens dead skin cells due to the lactic acid present in it and hydrates the skin with the fat content – giving you glowing skin.

  1. Orange peels for whitening teeth

dsc_0170_rIf you want whiter teeth, scrub them with an orange peel and then rinse well with water. Orange peels contain citric acid that break down plaque and stains. Make sure you don’t brush your teeth for at least an hour after scrubbing because the enamel weakens due to the acid and might erode.

  1. Apple cider vinegar for acne

  1. Honey for dry skin

honeyHoney retains moisture and hydrates your skin thoroughly. You can apply raw honey directly like a face mask or you can add it to your moisturizer for an extra dose of hydration.

  1. Beetroot for a natural flush and rosy lips

If you don’t want to rub it on your face, you can dab a cotton swab in some coconut oil, rub it on the beetroot and then apply the swab on your cheeks and lips.

  1. Baking soda for dull hair

Baking_SodaIf you have dull hair, add one teaspoon of baking soda to your shampoo before applying it to your hair. It will help remove all the dirt or product residue and reveal cleaner hair. However, limit this to once a week as it may damage your strands.

  1. Caffeinated coffee grounds for cellulite

  1. Oatmeal for sensitive skin

oatmeal_cookies_oatmealMake an oatmeal facial scrub for a thorough cleanse, especially if you have sensitive skin. You can grind them and add them to your cleanser immediately before applying it to your skin. Gently massage, avoiding the eye area, and rinse for clean, glowing skin.

  1. Coconut oil for removing makeup

coconut-oilWhen your makeup is too stubborn for your ordinary makeup remover, try using coconut oil to remove it. The oil dissolves makeup while moisturizing the skin. This is especially useful for the delicate eye area. Use your fingers to massage the oil onto your eyes and then wipe it off with cotton pads gently. You can also apply coconut oil as an overnight moisturizer.

  1. Being fashionable in nature, I always take care of my skin and hair, but I avoid using harsh chemicals that might start showing adverse effect after a short time. It is rather safe to use organic beauty products and follow grandmother’s beauty tips that work magically. Thanks! Rachel @ TheOrganicBeautyExpert.com
