PM should retract statement on ‘liberalising Pakistan’, says Haq

JI Amir Seraj ul Haq has said Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should withdraw his statement for making Pakistan liberal.

“The statement given by PM Nawaz Sharif on his return home from US visit that people of Pakistan should make Pakistan liberal be withdrawn by him. This statement runs contrary to constitution of Pakistan, philosophy of Allama Iqbal and principles laid down by Quaid-e-Azam. As per constitution Pakistan is an Islamic democratic country. We demand of him to withdraw his statement”, he said this while talking to media men outside parliament house here Friday.

Making Pakistan liberal is demand of US and its president Obama and after this Sharif has given this statement on his return from US, he held.

He announced that “we can compromise on everything but cannot compromise on the basis of ideology of Pakistan. Pakistan is not name of four provinces and rather it is name of our struggle.

He said “We are bringing our candidate for National Assembly (NA) speaker and any decision for supporting candidate of any other party will be taken in JI parliamentary meeting.

Responding to a question he said that entire politics of Pakistan revolves round personalities rather than principles and institutions. All the institutions in the country have been held hostage, he added.
