Pakistani actress Meera petitioned the court against alleged husband Atiqur Rehman for false Nikkah.
The actress claimed that she had not entered into a contract of marriage with Atiqur Rehman. She said that Atiq possessed a fake marriage certificate and used it to file fake cases against her in order to blackmail her.
She requested the court to declare the marriage contract with Atiq as void. Upon her arrival at the hearing, Meera obliged her fans’ desire for autographs when she signed their faces and hands. When a beggar asked Meera for money, the actress handed him three dollars and said she did not have rupees, only dollars.
