Eight more cases approved for trials in military courts

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Saturday approved transfer of eight more terrorism cases to the military courts, taking the total number of cases to 13.

These eight cases to be heard by the military courts that were established after Parliament’s approval through a constitutional amendment, include the attack on Justice Maqbool Baqir, Shah Latif Town bombing and Safoora carnage.

According to a notification issued by the SHC, the terrorism cases were transferred to the military courts on the recommendation of the federal government.
