NEPRA decreases power cost by Rs 2.88 per unit

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced the per unit electricity cost by Rs 2.88.

The rates have been brought down due to fuel adjustments for the month of September. The NEPRA has issued the notification regarding the decrease in the power cost. The fall in per unit power cost will result in Rs 39 billion relief for the nation. The new rates will not be applicable for the consumers of K-Electric (KE) and those who consume electricity not more than 300 units. The prices will be adjusted in the electricity bills for the month of December.
