A US delegation led by Deputy Chief of the Embassy Jonathan Pratt called on the Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif in his office on Thursday to discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of energy and defense.
The delegation discussed the ongoing US projects in the energy sector. “Solving energy issues faced by Pakistan is one of the top priorities of the US government,” Pratt said.
The minister assured the delegation that the government would facilitate its business community to participate in the International Energy Conference, scheduled in the first week of December in Washington DC.
In the meeting, it was also discussed that Pakistan had a lot of Wind Energy potential especially at the coastline of Balochistan which needed to be exploited.
