One person lost his life while at least 20 sustained severe injuries in a collision of a bus and a van at the Sialkot Road on Wednesday.
According to details, the incident took place when a bus of the Sialkot Transport Company rammed into a Toyota Hiace van while racing.
Passenger buses and public transport vans are locked in competition on the Sialkot Pasrur road and can often be seen racing each other in a bid to pick up passengers.
The rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the victims to the civil hospital for medical assistance where doctors said that five out of 20 injured were in a critical condition.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
