Law enforcement agencies on Wednesday raided a private hostel in Jhang that was being used as a recruitment center for Al-Qaeda, according to reports in the local media.
The forces recovered militant literature and arms as well from the hostel, reports said.
According to reports, the owner of a private hostel in Jhang, Abdul-Mannan is a key member of Al-Qaeda and he was using the hostel to recruit young students for the banned terrorist organization. The boys residing in the hostel were regularly given lectures to brainwash them with the extremist mindset.
Counter terrorism department recovered hand bombs and fire arms along with videos and literature on terrorism during their raid on the hostel. Abdul-Mannan, who was a government employee in Sui Gas department in Sargodha, also provided financial aid to terrorists. Search operations and raids are underway to arrest the alleged militant.
