A double murder convict was executed in the New Central Jail Bahawalpur early Wednesday morning.
Irshad had shot dead two people in 1999. Irshad’s dead body was handed over to his heirs after the execution.
Nearly 300 death row prisoners have been hanged so far since the government lifted a six-year moratorium on death penalty on December 17, 2014.
