Patients and their attendants coming from the far apart areas in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) are being trapped and looted by fraudsters as many are being robbed off their money and luggage.

Keeping in view the increasing number of such incidents, reports say PIMS administration sought help of Police which instead of arresting the fraudsters advised the patients and their attendants to take care of their belongings by themselves.

It is also reported that some women are also part of the gangs and mostly target ladies who come from remote areas for treatment. These fraudsters are involved in the stealing of money, Mobile Phones, jewellery and other precious items.

Almost 5000 patients daily visit the hospital mostly from far flung areas of Kashmir, Attock and Chakwal. The mostly illiterate patients and attendants are trapped by fraudster by extending sympathies, offering help in getting treatment and offer them edibles which contain drugs.

These fraudsters mostly keep on walking in inner premises of Hospital especially Radiology area where they trap citizens particularly ladies and loot their precious items and disappear.
