Chief Election Commissioner (retd) Justice Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan has turned down Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s request to meet him because of a busy schedule, local media reported.

According to local media, Imran Khan was to provide evidence of alleged rigging in the NA-122 by-polls to the CEC during the requested meeting.

Local media also reported that because of busy schedule, CEC has asked the party to submit a written memorandum instead.

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammad told local media that the meeting was declined because it had been requested at a very short-notice.

  1. Does this CEC hold a PML N membership? He is too small a fry to refuse meeting a Party Head. He needs to come down to earth. Nawaz Sharif may not be there to save him when this man is shown the door. This is absolutely unbecoming of CEC.
