Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Justice (r) Sardar Raza Khan, on Thursday excused himself from meeting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Imran Khan had requested the meeting to apprise the CEC of alleged rigging in NA-122 constituency where PML-N’s Sardar Ayaz Sadiq beat PTI’s Aleem Khan to win the National Assembly seat in October 11 by-elections.
In the same by-polls, Lahore’s provincial assembly seat, PP-147, was secured by PTI’s Shoaib Siddiqui who beat PML-N’s Mohsin Latif.
The CEC excused himself from meeting Khan due to a busy schedule; however, the election commissioner has sent a message to PTI to submit their reservations in written form.
Sources in PTI said the party would submit complaints regarding polling in the next few days.
